No.160 El Choclo

Ángel Villoldo(1903)

I have not completed the No.159 'Shimauta' yet, but I could not help starting the next one as I found the most beautiful piano play in U-tube. The world famouse Tango 'El Choclo'.

Up-loaded below is the beautiful piano play in U-tube which I copied by MIDI this time. I copied even the applause from the audience by virtual sound in my machine.

No.158 Sorayo (The sky)

Please listen to this music by YouTube.

Hiroomi Namba (1970)

Hit song by "Toi et Moi" in 1970, same category song as the previous one "Furusato (Home town)", using viola collaborating with flute.

This is the first time that I used marimba as tremolo.

No.157 Furusato(Home Town)

Tatsuyuki Takano, Teiichi Okano (1914)

This time honored Japanese song must have something to be deeply appreciated to the people who are now suffuring from the Fukushima nuclear power plant disaster, not being able to return back to their home town.

No.156 Kawano Nagareno Youni

Please listen to this music by YouTube.

Akira Mitake (1988)

A song sang by Hibari Misora、one of my favorite song. I asigned viola instead of flute to the main melody as it seemed to work well in this kind of music.

No.155 Azusa 2 gou

Please listen to this music by YouTube.

Shunichi Tokura (1977)

Now I'm challenging to the brothers duo, Kariudo's‘Azusa 2 gou' which got big award of the year.

I used mandrin for the first time for the introduction, and found it quite useful to create a touch of pathos in my future performance.

The picture below is the Oku-Yugawara again where we enjoyed mountain walking to commemorate the year when everybody of us had retired one by one at the age of sixty.

No.154 Ukiyoe no machi

Please listen to this music by YouTube.

Makoto Kawaguchi (1973)

Thank you for waiting, Mr. FAN! Now I present you Akari Uchida's "Ukiyoe no machi", which you requested me to play.

I used several Japanese musical instruments to create atmosphere of traditional music of Japan.

No.153 Valse du Putit Chien

Frédéric François Chopin (1848)

I'll do Chlpin's "Valse op.64-1", alias "Valse du Putit Chien".

Nobody can play more faster than computer, but I've let it do rather slowly so that one can enjoy the buautiful melody to ones heart's content.

Computer can play this kind of music with high speed easily than the one which needs to be played slowly with deep atmosphere, like "Träumerei" by Robert A. Schumann.

No.152 Ole Guapa

Malando (Arie Maasland) 1937

Nothing could be more pleasure than to play such beautiful music as this one by myself! It had been my dream. Now my dream have come true.

Ole Guapa, the best that continental tango has to offer. It means "The beauty" or "excelent", "fantastic"..., I've heard.

I'll challenge to this beautiful song, trying to recreate the buauty of this melody, and the delicate line of acordion as much as possible.

Please note that I adopted the MIDI sound "Applause" for the first time at the end of the song to create the feeling of being at a live peformance at a small club.

No.151 Taninnno kankei

Please listen to this music by YouTube.

Makoto Kawaguchi (1973)

This song was reqested by Mr FAN which was sang by Katsuko Kanai in 1973.

The point is how to express the voice "Pa Pa Papa pa" and "Chu Chu Chuchu Chu" by MIDI as Mr. FAN encouraged me before.

I tried Aah, Ooh, Dah, and Lah because my machine doesn't have Pa nor Chu sound installed, but the result was not satisfactory at all.

I managed to create better sound by mixing these sounds together adding the sound of Alto Sax.

The picture is the Hakuun Fall which I took when I enjoyed mountain climbing at Oku-Yugawara with the friends of my highschool days. All the baby-boomer generations like us seem to be powerful and energetic even when becoming old.
